Title: Summer's Dream
Author: Cathy Cassidy

School's out, and all of Summer's friends are planning weeks of lazy beach days and bonfire parties. But Summer doesn't have time for that. She's been selected to audition for a new dance school. She needs to practice. When you've worked so hard for something, you don't let your dream slip through your fingers... right?
I've read this book so many times that I've lost count. I love it so much. I don't know why I like it as much as I do; it's just one of those books that you're unexplainabley drawn to, I guess. It's a nice, light read, even though it centres around a dark subject.
Summer is a perfectionist. She'll do anything to make sure that she gets her dream and has a perfect life. Ignoring party invitations, overworking, even cutting back on food.
I don't really know what to say about this book. It is such a great book, but because it's for middle school, even the slightest hint of what it's about could give away the entire plot.
I recommend this book to all 9-14 year olds. It contains some mature themes, but there's no inappropriate content in it.
