The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson

Title: The Sky is Everywhere
Author: Jandy Nelson
Publisher: Penguin
Pages: 320
Source: School Library

Lennie plays the clarinet, loves wuthering heights, and is mourning over her sister's death. Before Bailey died, Lennie hadn't been interested in boys, and they weren't interested in her, but now she's torn between Bailey's boyfriend, and the new guy at school.
She litters poems all over town, and you can read her poems when you read the book.

Jandy Nelson is officially one of my new favourite authors. I read I'll Give You The Sun, and moved onto this one straight after. I did have higher hopes for this book, as I'll Give You The Sun is so amazing, but like most authors, their work keeps getting better. For a debut book, though, this is astoundingly beautiful.

Jandy's writing is stunning, and her books are just as beautiful. I loved the little poems scattered throughout the book. In fact, they actually inspired me to write some of my own poetry for the first time in 8 months.

And can I we just have a minute in silence to appreciate the beautiful cover on this book? It's simple, yet so, so stunning, and looks absolutely amazing next to Jandy's second book. There's something really satisfying about authors whose books match.
