The Selection by Kiera Cass

Title: The Selection
Author: Kiera Cass
Publisher: Harper Collins
Pages: 327
Source: Bought from Whitcoulls

In a world very different from ours, Prince Maxon needs a princess... and The Selection will help him find her. 35 girls picked up from all of Illea and plopped into the palace to try and steal his heart. America Singer isn't so sure she wants to win his heart though. She's already in love with someone; and her relationship with Aspen becomes very complicated when she gets picked as one of the girls to go to the palace.

But with the rebels attacking the palace every five seconds, some crazy mean girls, and most importantly, a super cute prince, will America find herself falling for Maxon?

I'm obsessed with this series. I finished the first one and just NEEDED the second one. (I might have thrown a bit of a tantrum at my parents because I didn't have access to the second one...oops). After 24 hours I managed to get The Elite out of my school library, though.

This has got to be my favourite series ever (and my favourite book after Fangirl.) It's so awesome, so incredibly written, and has such a gorgeous cover! I couldn't put it down, and ended up finishing it at 3:00 in the morning! Anyone who knows me knows that if I give up sleep for a book, it must be good; I love sleeping.

I forced one of my best friends to issue The Selection out of the library, and I recommend it to anyone. I haven't come across a bad review of this yet (doesn't mean there isn't one out there) but I'm yet to find someone to hate it!

Please, read this book!
